Tomato Mozzarella Puff Pastry recipe

  • Puff Pastry
  • Mozzarella
  • Tomatoes
  • 1 Egg
  • Basil
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Puff Pastry:

  • Stretch out puff pastry with rolling pin
  • Cut 15 x 15 cm squares and 1 cm wide strips
  • Use a brush to paste the strips with egg on edges of the squares and varnish them
  • Add slices of mozzarella and tomatoes and pour basil dressing
  • Place in oven at a high temperature until pastry rises and browns, and mozzarella melts

Basil Dressing

  • Mix in blender basil leaves with extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper

*Place one or two fresh basil leaves on top and serve warm
